Personal Highlights

My name is Chloe Tauber and lacrosse is my passion. Prior to lacrosse, I was playing soccer, very competitively for about 9 years. However, I've always wanted to play lacrosse, so I quit soccer to pursue my passion. With only 1 year prior experience, I made a very competitive club team, PGLAX (Princeton Girls Lacrosse). Not only did I make the team, but I also made the select/elite team. On both teams, I started, played the entire duration of the game, and was one of the leading goal scorers. After that season, I continued in high school. I was the only freshman to make the varsity team that year. I started in all 8 games I was eligible for (due to injury) and played the entire game. I finished my freshman season with 12 goals and earned my varsity letter. That season, I was tied for 3rd leading goal scorer, behind those who played in all 15 games. As much as I love playing at this level, it is my dream to play at the collegiate level. The amazing training that will be provided, allowing me to constantly get better is what makes the collegiate sports experience so desirable to me. I am also very coachable which allows me to use what I learn in practice and implement them effectively in the games fairly quickly. I would love to experience collegiate lacrosse and make amazing, lifelong friendships with my teammates. In addition to the importance of furthering my learning in lacrosse, academics is also very important to me. I maintain a high GPA and I am in rigorous and honors classes. The night before our high school games, my team held pasta parties at different players' homes. Due to the constant stressing of education by our coaches, many players who were in need of help brought their homework to the pasta parties. At the dinners, I helped my teammates study, do their homework as well as clarify any topics they were having difficulty in. This leadership off the field becomes apparent on the field where I encourage my teammates to do their best and help them if they are struggling to perform a certain skill. I would absolutely love to better my skills as well as have my dream of playing collegiate lacrosse become fulfilled.
