Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be part of something great at my college. I think if I can assist my team to win a game I'm being part of something great and exciting . I work hard and I'm a high achiever. I believe sports is my avenue to bigger and greater things to come.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I'm the friend that everyone talks to when they have a problem. I think it's because I don't judge them. I listen and I help them resolve their issues. I try to always lead my team by always being positive. I try to be a role model to my sister and my friends.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I go to every practice and weight lifting class. I take team sports as a class in school. I have a basketball trainer that I work with to improve my skills. I try eat well and get a good night rest. I watch other college , high school and professional basketball games to enhance my skills on the court.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer at the Holly Springs Veterinary hospital. I love animals and enjoy assisting the doctor during surgeries. It's important that I give my time to helping others. Time is more precious than money to me.
