Varsity Track and Squash Player, Certified Lifeguard with full-time job in the summer, community service group who went to Cuba in the Spring

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My passion is field hockey and I love bonding with the team. I look forward to helping my college win and being part of a solid group of girls with the same ambition.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am only a sophomore but have a lot of field hockey experience. Even through the captains are always seniors, other players on the field look to me to take the strokes, call the corners, etc.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I watch what I eat, lift, run, and stay in shape. Since I play three varsity sports, I really do not have an off season. Going to a tough boarding school, managing my time is so important. School-work comes first because there is no professional field hockey league for women!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am part of the community service club at Blair Academy. We organized a 5k run to benefit a local cancer survivor. In the Spring, I am heading to Cuba 8 other students and working on a Women's Awareness project designed to bring women's issues in other nations to the forefront of the minds of American students.
