Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Swimming is my passion and I feel I have a lot to offer a college team by swimming with them.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am part of the Varsity Leaders Club in my high school. As members of this club, we are responsible for giving school tours to incoming freshman, helping parents find classrooms and teachers during parent-teacher conference nights, helping out at all school functions, helping out in the elementary schools during special functions, etc.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I attend practice daily and participate with the best attitude possible.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have done extensive volunteer work in many swim programs around my community. For the past two years I volunteered on the Deer Park Middle School swim team. I was given my own lanes and I coached the junior athletes as they swam. In past years, I have volunteered with special needs children in the pool and with 5 - 7 year old novice swimmers on my swim team. Coaching these children gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment as I see them move from beginner swimmers to more advanced confident swimmers.
