Personal Highlights

I have played at every level and enjoyed every minute of it. I'm now turning 16 years old, and have gathered a wealth of skating skills and hockey game skills from every coach, assistant coach, parent coach and skating coach. Every time I'm out on the ice, I learn something, every time I work out with my strength coach, I learn something.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Since my first hockey game at 3 years old, I have wanted to play at a higher level for hockey. When I played for the San Jose Jr. Sharks, I realized that playing college hockey can be reality, if I work hard to achieve in school and on the ice. I have always dreamed to play for a college and be a recognized athlete for the school.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being a student-athlete is very difficult, managing time between studies, conditioning, practice time, game time, friends and family is hard. I have learned how to manage the priorities of school, sports, family & friends. It is a true balance, and if one group takes up more time than the other, it can be detrimental. I manage the school work first, then practice or conditioning, typically making time for my friends when I have more time during the weekends. My family is always with me helping me be the successful person I can be.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
