All American 2018
While most of my time is devoted to becoming a better diver and keeping up with my academics, I have some free time to spend on other activities that intrest me. I have been in 4-H for 9 years showing rabbits, and 5 years showing chickens. I held the position of secretary for two years, president for one, and currently I am the vice president, where I am expected to run a county wide food drive and the club. Over the last 4 years our club has been able to donate approximately $100,000 to the Geauga Hunger Task Force to help those in need in our own county. Also, I help around the family horse farm, where I have learned hard work and many other necessary life lessons. I enjoy riding the horses and learning new skills like polo, or teaching them how to jump over small objects. Across the street is Fieldstone Farms, where I volunteer to help children with disabilities enjoy riding horses just as much as I do; riding is therapeutic and aid in the learning of necessary life skills. Lastly, I enjoy the Spanish language and learning more about the culture from other Hispanic countries. My teammates encourage me to participate in new things I enjoy, like Spanish or 4-H as I encourage them to take part in what they enjoy. Diving is a large part of what defines me, but what separates me from everyone is the positively I bring to everything I do and the joy I get from being around people who have the same amount of determination and passion me.
Diving has been such a large part of my life and I couldn't imagine a life without the practice and exciting competitions. I look forwards to the energy of college competition and advancing myself in this sport, so I can be the best diver I can be.
