Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I was Captain freshmen year of my JV soccer team at Marian High School. With two other captains to help, we led the team to many victories and helped establish a strong team. Off the field I have participated in being a leader by participating in Student Council at Marian, where I have been Class Treasurer both Freshmen and Sophomore Year. This opportunity enables me to be a leader to our class and set up many class and school events that all the students enjoy.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I try to workout every day, switching from Ab and Leg exercises one day and Upper-Body the next day. These workouts help me maintain a healthy athletic performance on the field. I also eat very healthy, limiting excess sugars like candy and sweets. I have not drank pop in the longest time. To help prepare for the Soccer Season, I run Track to help my speed and endurance.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am part of the Vincentians Club at Marian High School, which is a club dedicated to serving others in the community. Some include working at Logan Center, where we assist the staff in day to day activities in order to help the patients there that have disabilities. I have also worked at the Homeless Shelter, St. Vincent De Paul, my community church, St. Monica, where I am an alter servant, and at Marian High School, where I have been the Class Treasurer for both freshmen and sophomore year. I am also coaching a Science Olympiad Team at Stanley Clark in order to help the students gain confidence in learning and reach a higher academic standard. All of these efforts are important to me because every place needs help one way or another, and any help that I can provide to them will go a long ways to help the community.
