Blake is no longer playing baseball, choosing to focus on football and ice hockey.
Blake has been called "Human Highlight Reel" for making unbelievable plays behind the plate and at short stop. He is fearless in making a diving catch, and has good hand/eye coordination that allows him to react quickly, making key plays and stealing bases. Currently, Blake is taking private lessons in pitching, in order to fill a need on the team for relief pitching. Blake throws harder than anyone on the team, courtesy of his years at catcher, but needs to work on his delivery and accuracy, as well as mastering some of the more subtle pitches. In 2016, Blake received the "Most Stolen Bases" award, having succeeded in stealing more bases than anyone else on the team during league and tournament play. He is well on his way to achieving this honor during the 2017 season, as well, in addition to getting a double at nearly every at bat for the season. While Blake's team has not had a great season in 2017, due in part to the fact that half of the team is comprised of u13 players who were brought up to fill a gap in numbers, Blake is having his best season for both hitting and fielding ever. Baseball is Blake's #3 sport (hockey and football being his first loves). While we don't have any stats on his last two seasons presently, we will post them throughout the upcoming season.

I have had the dream of playing on the collegiate field since he was a small child. I am driven to compete, and thrive on the camaraderie and leadership skills I've gained from team sports. Having that end would leave a big hole in my life.
I have been a section leader in the Marching Band since sophmore year, assisted in coaching clinics for the youth football program and participated in community service projects with recycling drives and providing lawn maintenance services to the elderly.
I work hard to stay hydrated, get proper nutrition and adequate rest, and to balance my sports obligations with time in other activities to avoid burning out.
Blake was one of four students selected by his High School Administration to be a mentor for the campus Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.
