Personal Highlights

This is my 5th year playing golf. I am currently taking lessons from Todd Smith, PGA Golf Pro at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, IN. I am a three year member of the Logansport Boys' Varsity Golf Team. I compete in the Little City Tournaments and Indiana Junior Golf.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I enjoy being a part of a team that is as committed and dedicated to golf as I am.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As one of four sophomores on the varsity team, I have taken it upon myself to work with a freshman as he is also on varsity. I help get him to practice and matches if needed, and we both golf together at courses we will be playing this season. I try to arrange one night a month where our team gets together to eat a team meal and hang out usually by swimming or playing basketball.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am involved in our weight training program both in and out of season. I also spend my time working on a local farm doing a variety of jobs like picking rocks, baling hay, and repairing fence rows. I have also played in other sports including tennis, basketball and baseball. I plan to manage the girls' golf team so I can practice during my off-season.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in my church youth group and in 4-H. I enjoy getting to work with and help others and meet new people.
