I was moved up to varsity and they have played more games than when I was on JV, so this is the varsity record.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have a passion and love for baseball, and I want to further my carrer past highschool and travel ball.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Right now, I am basically the team leader of JV. The coach needed somebody who can lead the other players, who can boost them up and who can act as a mentor. I have stepted up to that task. I am also the group leader of most group assignments at school, so I know how to get stuff done.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Coming up on the fourth nine weeks of sophmore year, I have realized that school is actually important. Before that, I had the mentality that baseball comes first over everything but what I have come to figure out is that doing good in school relates to becoming a better athlete. You can't expect to play good if you have D's and F's, and that comes from experience. My goal is to be one of the best in my class, but that correlates to the field as well. My grades are low right now, but it's not because I don't have the potential to be a straight A student, I just haven't been putting in the effort like I do baseball, but that is changing now. I have realized that school is more important than anything else.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am an umpire at my little league, and even know they pay us, that's not the reason I umpire. I umpire to give back to the league for everything they have done for me. I am a great ball player, but I wouldn't be here without this little league.
