MVP, Captain, Indiana North vs. South
I would love to be recruited to play sports in college because I would be able to share my love of soccer with fellow teammates and staff. I would be able to play the game that I love to the best of my potential, I would get to my best potential by being recruited and working to be the best I can be. To be the best athlete I can be and play the game I love, being recruited is a major step towards my goal.
As a student athlete, I put my school above my sports. School comes first because I know i won't be able to play soccer at this level forever, I need to have a career after I graduate. After school comes althetics where I can also live my dream by playing the game I love. By putting achademics before athletics I think it proves that I am committed to be the best I can be for my future and the present, I play the sport I love while preparing myself for the future.
I am involved in several community service projects through my church. Every summer for that past five summers I have gone to Cottage Cove in Nashville, Tennessee. I work with kids that live in the inner part of Nashville. Their parents bring them to Cottage Cove in the morning and they can stay there till five in the evening. During this time our group leads them into small groups by their age and do games, bible study, and snacks. We end up all together at the end of the day playing one huge group game. Not only do I get to work with these underprivileged kids, but I get to show them the love that Christ gives to us. Going to Cottage Cove is important to me because seeing the smiles on their faces each year I come back and every day that week feels so good inside to know that I have made a difference on their life.
