I want to be recruited to play sports in college because it has been a goal of mine to play at a collegiate level. It has pushed me throughout high school to be the best that I can be. Being a well-rounded player and teammate is something I strive to do. Playing golf at an advanced level is one of my main goals.
During my high school career, I have had different opportunities to show my leadership capabilities. Being captain of my golf team has helped me show by example to my teammates. Through my work ethic and positive attitude, I believe that I have shown what it means to be an encouraging teammate and a leader. In my school setting, being student council secretary has shown others my leadership qualities. Representing my class through student council is something I take pride in.
I pursue healthy athletic performance by going to a personal strength and agility trainer 2-3 times a week. This has helped me strengthen my core and improve my swing speed. It has also helped me improve my balance. I try to manage a healthy diet to improve my golf performance.
Community service is a way that I can give back to my community. Volunteering through my church at a local soup kitchen is something that is important to me. Helping out my community means a lot to me because my community supports me as a student and an athlete. It is a way I can give back and show that I appreciate everything they do.
