Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love to train and race but most of all I like to be part of a team. It is so cool to see what a group can work together to accomplish. I know I want to continue being a student athlete in college.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I interviewed and was selected to be part of Hinsdale Central's Peer Leadership group which helps mentor new students and underclassmen. I also was chosen to be part of the 30 student staff for the El Diablo Yearbook for Hinsdale Central for the next two years.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I train hard in and out of the water, am mindful and dedicated to a dryland program, follow a sleep schedule to make sure I get the right amount of sleep and avoid any supplements or other unhealthy diet choices.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I teach swim lessons this summer to give back to kids who are just getting started swimming like I did the summer I was 3 I am lucky to get to be part of a great group of swimmers who are sharing their talents with other kids. I regularly help out at our swim meets and organizing spiritwear for our team. I volunteer at Prospect School's annual Dash & Bash running with the grade school kids who need some extra encouragement. My younger brother has some challenges so I know how hard it can be for those kids to feel like they are part of some of those bigger school fundraisers.
