Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I never picture myself playing any sport before I played volleyball as I wasn't the athletic type. Once I started, I fell in love with the freedom of the game. Volleyball was my motivation, it actually helped me maintain good grades in my difficult classes more than it hurt me. Once I started, I couldn't picture myself without it. It would be an honor to play the sport that I love for four more years after I graduate from high school and see improvement along the way, whether it be DI, DII, DIII, or just a unified/tryout team.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I've been told on multiple occasions from different coaches, that I always kept a positive attitude and motivated others to do the same no matter what happens during a game. I also like to think that I'm also a leader in the classroom when it comes to group projects and assignments. I like to encourage everyone to do their part in any given project with high quality while I do mine the same.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

School can be very tough with all the homework and assignments given each and every day. Keeping up with my weighted honors classes and playing volleyball do sometimes get in the way of one another but I know that school always comes first and I find time during breaks at a tournament to do any given homework assignment.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In my community, I volunteer to clean trash out of the Potomac River. As a individual who wishes to major in Oceanography/Marine Biology, I realize how important it is to keep our waters clean to help preserve the lives of the aquatic species.
