Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Sports have been my primary goal since age 5, starting with hockey but always knowing I wanted to move to football. Playing football in college has always been my dream, I have worked hard keeping focused on not only my physical ability but also keeping my academic future at the for front as well.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I assisted the offensive line coaches with coaching while recovering from injury, putting my knowledge to use even when I physically could not contribute. Outside of the team, yearly I take part in a 9/11 stair climb leading a team of volunteers to do various tasks required to help make this huge event a success. This event is very near and dear to our family as my father is currently a fireman at the hosting firehouse, but more importantly he was deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom after the Sep 11th attacks.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Daily weight lifting to increase my muscle tone, as well and stretch tight muscles. In addition to insuring I am drinking tons of water the day prior to a game to avoid cramping and charlie horses. I currently wear knee braces in every game to protect hyper extension of my knees, and avoid big injuries.

Recently began training with the Elite Football Academy, working on specific skill position training, as well as attending Performance Training twice a week. I have also added lifting at a personal gym 3 days a week to my regimen.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Each year as a dedication to my father and his service as a Military veteran as well as a civilian firefighter, I volunteer and assist during the 9/11 Stair Climb held at the Clayton MO Fire Department. This is an important event to remember those lost during this horrible day, and the sacrifice our men and women of military and emergency service provide on a daily basis. This climb benefits the families of those that lost family members on this horrible day. In addition I work with my Grandmother making quilts that we have distributed to Women's shelters, Dog Rescues, Katrina Victims, and Hospitals for newborns.
