I will be playing again this year for the Tenacity Portland Elite Club team and our summer tournament schedule has been released. I will be playing at the following tournaments this summer.
Champions Cup – Richmond, VA - June 14 - 17, 2018
Vail Shootout – Vail, CO: June 24 - 27, 2018
Summer Splash – Tahoe, California: July 21 - 22, 2018
Tonight was our season opener where we won 14 to 9 over the Tigard Tigers. I scored 5 goals and had 3 assists, 3 steals and 4 forced ground balls. Here are clips of 2 of my scores. One off of a draw and one off of a steal.
My name is Hannah Huchette and I was originally born in SEC country in Montgomery, Alabama. My father retired from the military and working for the Air Force and we moved to Oregon in 2010. That is where I was introduced to the game of lacrosse. I started playing in 2012 and have had the same coach until today. I'm starting my junior year and have been on varsity all three years as a starter. My freshman year we made it to the state championship game and last year we made it to the playoffs. I also made the Tenacity Portland Elite 19 Lacrosse team and have been traveling the country playing in tournaments against some of the best talent in the nation. I was selected to my high school tiger athletic leadership academy this year and also selected as a captain as a junior for our varsity lacrosse team. My goal is to play at the college level for a school that has a strong team structure, a desire to win, and academic majors in either Athletic Training or Education/Physical Education Coaching.
I want to be recruited because I want to take lacrosse to the next level. I stated playing club this year and I'm just ready and excited to play on a even higher level. I'm also very competitive and love being active so I couldn't imagine not playing sports in college.
I am a very good and liable teammate I encourage and demonstrate ways to improve other teammates and proved good constructive criticism and consistently help my teammates improve on and off the feild. Like with different/ new drills or help encourage a teammate to keep going when they feel discouraged or that they can't do something
I make sure I have an organized schedule. That I set a time to have healthy meals that I'm drinking enough water and that I ice any injuries. I make sure that I'm constantly in shape and working on my self to improve as an athlete. Grades come first so I usually stay after school to get help on homework or to be able to have a good study place.
I and a youth coach for my highschool and club lacrosse team. I'm a Sunday school teacher on sundays at my church. I feed homeless people on Monday nights at my church. I have been a camp counselor during the summer. I help set up an Easter egg Hunt .i participate in relay for life I have redesigned/remodeled a house with a community service group. This is important to me because it helps me grow and learn new things and it's fun to help support your community and get to meet new people.
