I want to be recruited because when I realized that I love rowing, I wanted to have involvement in it as I left highschool and began my career. And after I graduate I even want to be part of it either as a coach or something related.
I have been part of my team for a strong three years and going on four years. I have the most rowing experience on my team as a junior and have been part of it the longest, so people come up to me if they have questions and I usually know how to answer them. I want to try out as a team captain in my senior year.
Alongside rowing, I keep my grades up and participate in my weights class at school to stay fit outside of practice. When I have a regatta coming up, I make sure to drink lots of water to prepare myself.
Ever since I was young, I have been involved in 4-H. My mom did it when she was young and had her kids do it too. Every year, I raise an animal and sell it at my local fair in August at the end of the summer. I know that lots of people enjoy seeing teenagers work hard to achieve goals and make hard earned money. For 4-H projects, we often go around to retirement homes with different animals and make some people's day a little more interesting.
