Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I am passionate about rowing, and wish to continue to develop skills.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Served as a voluntary Spanish tutor for age peers who were struggling
I try to be the first to arrive and last to leave from rowing practice, and always make sure that all equipment is strapped or put away (and encourage other teammates to do the same)

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I try to treat my body with respect -- focusing on nutrition, sleep and cross-training. I adhere to our code of conduct policy and avoid situations where people are making poor choices. When injured, I take the time/make the effort to properly recover.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Student aide for a special needs class throughout my sophomore year, peer mentor for Special Olympics swim team
I have been a part of books4kids2keep, sorting and delivering books to students, for nearly 10 years
