Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Soccer is my passion. I started when I was very young, as most of us have, just having fun on the field and never thinking of what it could grow to be for me personally. My passion developed and grew, and I honestly know I will play soccer through my college career. Being part of a team is like having family with you all the time. The life lessons learned on and off the field as part of a team have helped me become the person I am today. I want nothing more than to continue to play the game I love with a college/university team that I will be proud and happy to represent for a lifetime. Soccer opportunities and any potential scholarship will also allow me to achieve my strong academic goals where I may not have otherwise explored.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As Centerback, I demonstrate leadership on the field by taking control. I am always one of the loudest providing directions for the team on the field while demonstrating full respect and sportsmanship to all, including players, officials, and spectators. Off the field, that same respect follows as I ensure actions and words have a positive and kind affect others.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

A balance of physical, nutritional and mental performance on and off the field will achieve a "healthy athletic performance". Mine include daily workouts provided by my team, including sprints, jogging, and technical skills, along with my daily gym routine prepares me physically. I follow a healthy eating regime with a balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fats, while staying hydrated throughout. Finally, the mental aspect, which many feel is most important, is use of your mind wisely to stay focused and sharp, including performance in school, on the field, and overall daily well being which is accomplished with the great support of my family, team, coaches, and teachers.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am very involved with our state ODP program as a mentor and assistant. Delaware's ODP program offered me my first opportunity out of travel soccer to progress to the next level. I was identified at the Region 1 Tournament in May of 2016 and selected to the Region 1 ODP Player Pool, and have since progressed to a US Soccer Development Academy. My skill and confidence built during ODP while making many new relationships with skilled players and talented coaches. I also offer training assistance with my little brother's travel soccer team when needed. Giving back is a huge way of saying Thank You!
