Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited because I have been playing softball since I was a toddler. I fell in love with the sport early on and now that I am in high school aware that the softball grind is soon to come to an end I know I'm not ready to put the glove down. Softball is my passion and with all the hard work I've put it into it I know I can excel at the next level.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As a catcher I am the glue that holds the team together. If I sense that my teammates are down on themselves I don't hesitate to call a time out and call together a team meeting to help subside everyone's nerves and doubts to the best of my ability. Off the field when it comes to group projects often times I am the one to step up and organize a plan that will lead to success.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I've done a wide variety of community service tasks from peeling paint and repainting the uptown gazebo to volunteering at toonfest. It's important to me because it's my way of giving back to the community I grew up in.
