Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I aim to please! I am super team oriented, uberly competitive and LOVE the feeling of playing for my team and coach! I am obsessed with golf and will make my team proud. I always put team first, and love the added motivation to do better myself and my team!!!!! I know the take-away from playing college sports is great for my own self-improvement as well. I cannot remember not dreaming of playing college golf.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I love to play golf, but I work hard in my academics and try to have a social life too (although it is mostly on the golf course). I try to eat right and work out to stay strong and flexible. Golf is a mental game, so I am serious and play to win, but I play better when I make sure that I am enjoying myself. My parents are supportive but follow my lead when it comes to golf. I am independent and driven and know when I need to decompress.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

My family makes service part of regular life. Of course they are happy if I sign up for a club or go on a service trip, but in my life, service is part of living a good life. It is not just about doing things here and there, but looking around to see who might need help and paying attention to the world around me. Little things matter. I also do work through my church I am always involved in different outreach opportunities. For example, I give out turkeys to those in need in Patterson, NJ on Thanksgiving Eve. I have made dinner for 30 and delivered and served it to a all male homeless shelter for years. I work with my outreach teen team at my church to highlight areas where we think we can help in the community. We identified a share house for elderly in need in my town and we schedule, prepare and bring dinners there a few times a year. We always put a smile on their faces. I also am interested in getting a Bergen County First Tee Chapter set up which would be great because I could help everyone have the opportunity to play golf. Of course I have worked on food drives, donated clothing and raised money for Habitat for Humanity. Now that I am 16, I am looking forward to working on the build sites and really being hands on. Service makes a difference and makes you feel good inside. You know you are making a difference in someone's life and I was taught that it is my duty, not a choice. That is very true, and I could not agree more.
