Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Sports has always been a big part of my life. I love competing and working towards a common goal with my teammates. I feel that my skills, positive attitude and coachability would make me a valuable member of a college team.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In school I am a North Way mentor. This entails giving a presentation to my "home room class" every other week about topics that the school administration has chosen. In basketball I lead by example through hard work, doing whatever the coach asks and encouraging my teammates to play their best. I was voted team MVP on my basketball team by my teammates.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am diligent about getting my homework done each night so I am able to get a good nights sleep. I eat healthy and enjoy working out to improve my athletic performance. I am focused on school and sports. I surround myself with positive friends and stay away from drugs and alcohol.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteered for Special Olympics in my community, packed meals for Feed My Starving Children at my Church and served food at the Moose Lodge. I have also read books to kids at a local elementary school. I enjoy supporting my community and I think it is important to help others.
