Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love basketball, being part of a team and want to continue to improve my game. I also think the discipline of basketball makes me more successful in the classroom.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In the locker room I display leadership by doing the right things and the little things. I never miss practice, show up to practice early, go full speed in practice and work on my game outside of practice. On the court, I'm a communicator - yelling out ball screens, yelling I have help on the weak side, etc. In school, this summer I was invited to participate in the IHSAA student athlete leadership conference. It was an all day program where guest speakers gave examples of leadership skills and why more is needed from young people.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I have to prioritize all the things that need to get done. Sleep is also important as well as stretching, cool downs and icing.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

My favorite service activity is summer mission work through my church.
