Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to row in college because I have the passion and motivation to keep going even when I feel like I can't and that voice in the back of my head says I can't anymore-I keep pushing. You are so much stronger than you think, and quitting is forever, pain is just temporary. I want to row because I can truly show that on and off the water with my hard work. Rowing means so much to me, its my passion to row. It makes me, me.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

If you want your team to succeed,it can't just be about how you're preforming. You need to put your team first because it will always be about the team. With rowing you need you team to make your boat go fast and succeed. On the water with being stroke seat, you need to set a great example on what to do, you keep doing and working for what's right for the boat.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am in Key Club within my school. Key Club works with the community, cleaning up the community, and helping family's who need it most. Also within my church I volunteer with soup kitchens. With local events within the small community of Grosse Ile I help out with Learn to Row, Basketball camps, help setting up 5k races, and the bike races "Tour de Ile". I also am in Student Council within my school to help plan clean ups, dances, and homecoming within the community. Another club I’ve joined to make a difference is link crew, which is a club run by the student body to help prevent bullying and make others feel welcome within the school.
