Personal Highlights

In the process of Updating my info.
My varsity team won the Texas 5-A Bi-District championship and now that the season is over I will be updating with videos. I was a starter through district and the playoffs. I am also in the process of taking SAT and ACT in the coming weeks.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have a strong passion for the game of basketball. It has been a life-long dream of mine to go as far as possible in this sport. I know I have what it takes to play at the college level when the time comes and I also have a desire to coach one day. I love basketball and everything about it. I am a fierce competitor and when my high school playing says are over I want to play at the next level.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a leader on my varsity team. I was the only Junior on the team and was a starter for district play and in our 2 playoff games this season. I always give encouragement and try to be a role model and set a positive example for all. I demonstrated leadership by being a hard worker on the court and in the classroom. I am the first one in and last one out of the gym.
I have been nominated for the PALS leadership program for my senior year. I am a finalist and in the process of interviewing this week.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I steer clear of any alcohol, tobacco and drug use and do not do anything that would jeopardize my body that would prevent me from reaching my goals. I have very personal reasons for not wanting to be a part of any of that.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a Red Cross certified lifeguard for the City of Euless since I was 15.
I am a volunteer at my school during the summer youth basketball camps. I enjoy working with the younger kids. Being their role model is an amazing experience.
My mother was an EMT and she encouraged me to become a lifeguard. I enjoy helping people and the responsibilities the job comes with.
