Summer fun and Junior Olympics action

This summer saw a lot of action as my club team, SOCAL, geared up for Junior Olympics. After playing several tournaments at 16U, I got the call-up to play 18U for JOs. With only four days of practice together, we headed out to Riverside City College for Qualifiers. First game was a little rough, as we got used to each other's play and laid down a game plan. But we quickly put it together to seed 8th. With more time to practice as a team, it all came together at Finals, where we advanced against several strong challengers to bring home a Silver. What a great group of teammates and friends! I'll miss them as many move on to college, but with two more years of eligibility, I'm looking forward to what the future brings. I'm already back in the pool for pre-season work, so stay tuned!
