Event comprised of 60 young people from The First Tee and Youth on Course Northern California network who are committed to The First Tee's Nine Core Values. A fun and educational experience that will allow participants to become leaders at their chapter, school, and community. Also have an opportunity to meet participants from the 11 Northern California chapters, and the NCGA, interact with the top Coaches in The First Tee network, and engage in fun, extracurricular activities within the Monterey and Pebble Beach area.

Participated in an event where we had an opportunity to develop and hone skills to become leaders in our chapters, schools and communities while experiencing championship golf, career exploration and dorm living.
  • 2017 The First Tee John Deere Drive Your Future Academy - June 19, 2017 - June 22, 2017. East Lake Golf Club & Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA. Participated in an all-girls event which focused on leadership development, remaining active in the game of golf, learning the value/impact of volunteerism, and recognizing the importance of teamwork.
  • 2016 The First Tee Par-3 Championship - June 21, 2016 - June 26, 2016. The Kanawha Club, Kinloch Glf Club, & University of Richmond, Richmond, VA. Participated in the First Tee Par-3 Championship, a 36-hole individual stroke play golf competition at The Kanawha Club in Richmond, VA. We also worked on life skill development through dorm living, interactions with participants from around the country and guest speakers. By the end of the week we gained a better understanding of competitive golf rules and regulations and were prepared to act as leaders and role models for the members of our local chapters.
