Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Swimming is a part of my life that helps keep me healthy, focused and working as part of a team. I want to continue with my swimming both in college and potentially to coaching later in life.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I try to lead by example with my friends and teammates. I am a hard worker in both in the pool and at school. When I get to swim practice, I look at the set for the day and get right to it. I work closely with my friends in my classes to study and share what I know. I spend many hours each night studying and getting ready for class.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue a healthy athletic performance as a student athlete by trying to eat healthy, work hard at practice, and get the right amount of sleep. I also try to look ahead at the events I have coming up in the next week to plan put how I can balance school, swimming, social events and having some fun with friends and family, too.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer for my church by altar serving and working in the nursery twice a month. I volunteer helping out timing for my swim team and the school's modified swim team. I am also a member of the Z-club at school. This is a club that actively participates in a variety of volunteer activities. I also volunteered over this past summer at a disabled persons summer camp. These opportunities provide me with a great way to give back to others that may need assistance or may not be as fortunate as I am.
