Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to continue my athletic career in college for a number of reasons. First, quite simply I want to continue representing my school playing the sport I love. Secondly, I truly believe that athletics helps to balance and enhance my school experience. Finally, the camaraderie that sports creates on & off the field has always resulted in me finding my closest friends.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I became a leader on my varsity lacrosse team at a young age not because of my ability as much as my dedication to getting better through hard work and coachability. Leading by example, I gained the trust of my teammates and coaches. Off the field, I was the recipient of an annual award for character, nominated by the faculty, which honors one's friendship & support to other members of the school community.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Throughout my athletic career, I've tried my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Knowing the impact that healthy practices can have on performance, I've stayed focused on healthy habits like good nutrition, balancing workouts & rest, and being in a positive mindset. Believing there are no shortcuts to success, I've never taken illegal, banned or foreign substances.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In my time at Mount Saint Charles Academy, community service is not only a requirement, but a very beneficial part of the curriculum. For example, this past year I volunteered at an elementary school as student mentor, working with these young students on their math, reading and art skills. Working in the community was important because, like athletics, it helped me to become a well-rounded person. More importantly, it allowed me to share my time and abilities with others to enhance their school experience as well.
