LEANN EMERY-PITCHING COACH, PRESIDENT , CUTTING EDGE SOFTBALL INC.
Athletic ability: 7/10
Leadership: 7/10
Team player: 10/10
Easy to work with: 9/10
Ability: "As a pitcher, Erin has excellent movement on her pitches. She has good speed and she can move the ball on different planes with a lot of movement. She works hard and really loves pitching. With a good weight training program and a solid program her athletic pitching would go to the next level. She is willing to do the work. "
Personality: "Erin, is very intelligent. She is very aware of the people around her. She wants the best for the team and loves being a team player. She is funny and quirky. She is a very solid person who I am happy to have known for almost eight years. I think what Erin has really realized this past few years is that she really could be a college player and she isn't willing to give it up just yet. This makes her hungry to want to play and eager to be a part of team. "

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I decided late, like this summer, that I really wanted to play in college. I love softball and being a part of a team. I like practicing hard, playing hard and having fun.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am the Vice President of our school Leo's club and enjoy looking for ways to support our school and community. On my teams, I encourage the younger girls and help give them confidence, as it is hard to be new on a team. I also try and push them to work hard.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I love animals and spent several years volunteering for the Humane Society. I enjoy giving back when I can, whether it's through my Leo's club or helping my mom who worked for the MS Society. I learned in school and through my parents that if you are able, you should help others.
