Swimming Honors

2017-2018, I have achieved 34 personal best swimming times. In 2016 as a sophomore in High school, I raced in my second WPIAL Championship where I anchored our high school 4x100 free team setting a new high school record. In 2017, I have twice qualified for AMS Sectionals, attended both AMS All Star Zone Team short championship and long course championship meets, and qualified for the AMS Senior Zones. In 2018, I have again qualified and attended both Senior Zones and Sectionals. I’m currently ranked 53rd in Pennsylvania. I am a freestyle sprinter with a great potential in IM, Back and Breast stroke. I have current information and videos on collegeswimming .com and the NCSA's recruit site. Iin my most recent three long course meets I had 11 new personal best times. I often train three times a day, swimming both AM and PM and dry land / yoga 3 times a week. I am excited to swim in college and am preparing myself for excellence in the classroom and pool. I was just awarded AMS Scholastic All American.

Western Pennsylvania High School championships each year, competed in AMS long Zone Teams 2 and AMS short Zone Teams , Senior Zone team and sectional teams. I lettered in High School Varsity Swimming each year, as a sophomore in High School we set a new school record in 4X100 relay. Prior to starting my swimming I was the Pennsylvania State Champion in Combat Karate at age 11.. I am very active in community charities and church activities. Last year I worked as a lifeguard and this spring I was inducted into the National Honor Society.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have great expectations for my swimming in college and I expect to find a university that will help me obtain my personal goals and my academic goals.

This summer in Long Course, I have achieved 9 personal best swimming times, qualified for AMS Sectionals, AMS All Star Zone Team and AMS Senior Zones. I was also selected and competed in both short and long course 2017 zone championships in NY and VA. This spring I raced in my second WPIAL Championship where I anchored our high school 4x100 free team setting a new high school record for this event. I’m currently ranked 43rd in PA and am a sprinter. To make my goals I need to keep swimming in a college that has a strong swimming program

I am not swimming this high school season as I decided to train at Team PEAQ and some special camps. I believe that this training approach will make the greatest improvements for me and let me focus on higher grades as I feel both will be key to affording college the better colleges. My swimming goal is to become a top swimmer in my area and enhance all my strokes and win Collegiate championship races, with the final goal of making the Olympic trials someday. .

Please review my swimming credentials on collegeswimming.com.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am very active in my community and my church. I have made 3 presentations to the Hampton Township School board on Robotics, STEM, STEAM and student/teacher partnerships. I have been selected for special STEM program at Olin School of Engineering, I have been selected to represent Hampton at several Science fares in the Pittsburgh Area. I believe I am a natural leader, a leader by example. I am a Academic all american and belong to the national honor society. I was a tutor in school and love to help others.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am a 6 year competitive swimmer and a wannabe mechanical engineer. I am very self-motivated and hardworking in both the pool and school. I get as much technique and swim training as I can, I swim 7 days a week, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. year round. I am looking for the right institution, teachers and but most important to me is a coach that enables my success as a dedicated student/athlete. I maintain my 4.2 grade point average and train so I can win the conference championship at my new university.

Prior to that I was the PA state champion is Karate and have proven my ability to compete and maintain my very high GPA.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am extremely active in community and belong to the national honor society delta chapter, this asks that you perform over 100 hours of service per year and with other academic and leadership requirements.Over my life I have performed well over 1000 hours of community type of service. I believe giving back and in the principle of Random Acts of Kindness.
