As a child, I was always attracted to adventure as well as exciting new sports. Perhaps it was my parents’ love of travel that made exploring new countries second nature to me. After all, I was born in Sweden during an extended work assignment for my father. While I was introduced to travel by my parents, the attraction to extreme sports is my own instinct. From an early age, I was riding anything that had a wheel, even if it only had one wheel. I was on skis from age four, and immediately attracted to the then new concept jumps, half pipes, and rails on ski slopes. After my father spotted me doing flips on a diving board, may parents enrolled me into diving.
I've now been diving for 8 years with West Chester diving, under famed coach Ron Jenkins and Tom Gallaghar. I am excited at the prospect of continuing my diving career at college. In addition diving, I'm an all round athlete: I swam competitively at the Upper Main Line YMCA until my sophomore year, and I also compete on my high school cross country team. Outside of sports my main interest is in aviation: I am an FAA private glider pilot, and I'm currently working on my single engine pilot license. I enjoy challenges and learning new things. For example, the private pilot test required a written, oral, and practical flying test and thorough focused preparation.
