Personal
For the past four years at South Plantation I have been class officer and SGA officer, I have over 900 service hours, I started on the O-Line and D Line, and long snap as a Freshman. I was a team Captain this past season,I have been selected for the Broward County Senior All Star game, I am I am the 3 time defensive captain for lacrosse, Iron man award recipient, and homecoming court nominee, I was voted Knight's King in 2017.
For the class of 2019 I am the only athlete to start and play in every football game in 4 years!
As you can tell by my video, I play with an attitude. I don't make excuses and I show up for workouts, practice, film, and what ever else my team asks of me. I am all in.
I want an excellent education! I enjoy being part of something bigger than myself. I would love to be part of an amazing college tradition and experience.
Leading comes natural to me.On the field I am the largest person on the field and naturally draw attention. I lead by keeping a positive attitude with my teammates and coaches. I never give up or give in. Being a big guy I'm not always leading in front of running drills, but I never ask to come out, I never offer excuses when I make mistakes, and I never blame others when things go wrong. I refuse disrespectful behavior towards my coaches even if it comes from the all-stars! Off the field I expect the same thing from my friends and peers.
My best example comes from when a star player lost his cool and was letting his emotions get the better of him. Despite the coaches warning the player to stop he continued. I was able to intervene and redirect his anger before it got worse.
Being a large bodied athlete I have to make sure my body and mind are right. South Florida is very humid and hot and one could easily overwork themselves. I follow the coaches work outs and our trainers recommendations to remain flexible and hydrated. In the off season I wrestle and play lacrosse, and when I am not doing those things I use a personal trainer. On the academics side I use a daily planner to help keep track of deadlines and obligations. I love math and enjoy school so keeping up with studies isn't too difficult for me.
I am in involved in the community in multiple ways. I volunteer as an assistant coach for the local youth lacrosse program. I have been officer with the Key Club of South Plantation for 3 years and we are involved in everything form raising money, to clothing donations, to books, and reading glasses. I have personally chaired several of these events. I am also the a class officer at SPHS. I am involved in raising money for the class as well as over seeing membership, compliance of school policies, and prom and Grad Bash. I am an SGA officer as well. I am responsible for school spirit and activities as well as charitable events like Honor Flight and Virtual Honor Flight which I chaired, Trunk or Treat, and other various events. My pride and joy is being involved with Honor Flight as my grandfather is a Marine.
