Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love volleyball and want to continue to play while I am in college and if I am able to get scholarship money to help me pay for my education that would be great. I also want to continue getting better as a player.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have shown leadership in my sport by helping my high school coach with the JV players. Outside of volleyball I work hard in my classes and help with events in our school like spirit week. I ran for student council rep but didn't win, but I help them anyway because they always need help.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I like to lift weights and challenge myself on how much I can lift and squat. Last year I won Beast of the Week for the females and can lift more than some of our football and basketball players. My weightlifting teacher has taught us how to eat right and I do well with that by eating the right things and drinking a lot of water. I do like to eat sugar cookies though.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer as a volleyball coach at the Eastside YWCA and have coached two teams so far ages 12-14. I have enjoyed teaching the young ones how to play the sport because many of them have never played before. It makes me happy to see how they grow as players and it is important to share what I know to help other players so they can love the game like I do.
