Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Because I really, really want to play soccer in college is the short answer. I am a team oriented person. I thrive when I work with my teammates in that kind of environment. Playing sports in high school has made me a better, more focused student and I know that I will do better with the academic challenges of college if I am challenging myself on the field.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

For several years I have been volunteering as a student teacher at my karate dojo assisting in teaching children's classes. On the field I was appointed as one of the 2018 varsity captain and actively direct my defense during games.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being in good health, both mentally and physically, is critical to being a successful athlete. As a 3rd degree karate blackbelt I've learned to incorporate the mental game into my physical game which, I think has strengthened my skills in the net. I do what any smart athlete does, I eat healthy food, work out in the off season and strive to improve my skills.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Currently a participant in the Interact Club, a high school community volunteer group.
