Personal Highlights

I was tied for 5th place for top goal scorer during the high school varsity league. I was the youngest player for AC Miracle Hill (semi-pro team in the UPSL). I have trained with the F.K. Velez junior academy (A professional 1st division club in Bosnia).

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited because I strongly feel that I have the capability to play Division 1 soccer and I feel that with my potential and growth I could possibly go even farther than college soccer.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In terms of soccer, I try to communicate with the whole team as much as possible so that we act as a unit and not as individuals. My actions off the field are also important so that I proudly represent my club with respect and dignity. An example of an off the field action is my leadership in the DUST program mentioned previously.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

To me healthy-athletic performance is a result of personal actions off the field and the effort one puts in training. The off the field actions that I am referencing is the food eaten at home, the work put in on non training days, and the overall focus on how to become a better player. I focus on what food I eat and as a result I have completely cut soda out of my life, as I have seen that it has become crippling to my performance on the pitch. When focusing on work outside of training days, I make sure to incorporate something that will aid me in the game, whether that is push ups, pull ups, or jump roping, I try to work on my game as many days as I can. During training, I push myself, try to perform to the best of my ability, and try new things/skills that I can use on the field.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer and work with DUSC (Desert United Special Team) which is a program dedicated to helping kids with special needs, such as autism, play soccer and be social. I feel that my work is important because it provides the kids with joy and gives them a chance to feel less of an outcast and more as part of the community.
