Personal Highlights

Nathan Kozik "Nate" is a high school student in the class of 2020 at North Pocono High School in Covington Township, PA. He is a passionate, internationally-experienced soccer player, who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, but also plays as a forward. Nate has been playing in the starting XI on the high school varsity soccer team for four years, along with seven years of playing club soccer. Nate currently plays club soccer with Lehigh Valley United '02 Blue Team, coached by Brendan McIntrye. He also plays international soccer with Coach John Fisher of YPT USA. Nate has traveled and played in Belize, S.A., Madrid, Spain, Salou, Spain, Barcelona, Spain, Lake Como, Italy, and San Marino, Italy. Nate is also a NCSA member, so feel free to view his profile or highlights videos at: http://recruit-match.ncsasports.org/clientrms/profile/recruiting_profile/3020099 or at his Hudl page: http://www.hudl.com/profile/8045435/Nathan-Nate-Kozik/videos.

Nathan is pursuing a well-balanced school to major in Marine Biology, that challenges him both academically and athletically. Nate is also searching for a close-knit soccer team, "family," to play with during his time as a student-athlete.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play college sports, because I truly love every aspect of playing soccer! I cherish being part of a team that treats each other like family. I continually want to strive to learn, to be part part of a team environment, and do more in the soccer world. There is a lot more I can discover about both myself and people in general by being on a team.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete by eating balanced meals with emphasis in protein for recovery days, drinking plenty of water, working and strengthening my body in the gym and on the track both distance and sprints, working on my soccer touch and techniques on the field, and making sure I get plenty of sleep every night.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

My role in my community is very important to me and my whole family. My parents are always instilling the importance in volunteering and helping others. They not only tell me, but also get out there and donate their time, money, and resources to help the people in our community. I have volunteered my time from working at our local Firemen's Picnic, working the school food stand for Track Invitational Tournaments and special functions, volunteering my time and soccer skills to help out local camps and clinics demonstrate proper technique and help coach the young players, and volunteering my time to help run school functions. Community Service is a must in a time where many do not find the time to help others who need the help the most.
