Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Soccer has always been my passion. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old along with baseball and basketball, but 3 years ago I decided to become fully dedicated to the sport. I knew that soccer was something special for me and if I wanted to take it farther than just high school, I would need to dedicate all my time to the sport. Because of my height, I had always played in goal, but I vividly remember one tournament where the regular goal keeper was injured on one of the top teams and they asked me to fill in. It was as if something inside of me just clicked and from then on I knew I wanted to be a goalkeeper. Goalkeeping is my passion and aligns perfectly with my personality. As a goalkeeper, I enjoy having to quickly assess a situation and determine the best course of action while being a leader both on and off the field.

As an athlete and student, I am very focused on achieving the best results possible. I am very disciplined in both my study habits and training and constantly strive to balance both. I always look forward to training with my team and my goalkeeper coach for both my club and high school teams as I know there is always room to improve and become a better player.

I also feel it is very important to help others as well. Whether it is helping the coach pick up after practice or volunteering my time in the community, giving back to others helps keep me grounded and humble so that my focus is not only on being a good student and athlete, but on being a good person too. I know that I would be a strong asset to your program and I hope you do too!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
