Personal Highlights

I started playing SS for the first time last year as a JR. I had 64 putouts with 88 total chances. I had 5 assists with 2 double plays and a FPCT of .784, I can also run a 4.6 40 yd dash. I have good field depth and knowledge and hit a home run last year over the left field fence.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have a true passion and drive for the game. I enjoy being part of something bigger than myself.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I served as Captain for my Jr. and Sr. football seasons, I have a knowledge and understanding for the sports I have participated in. My baseball coach from last year stepped down. In talking with the new coach, who is nervous about the upcoming season, my previous coach told my new coach that I could run the field for him during a game. I appreciate the vote of confidence. I take initiative in whatever I'm doing. I've grown a lot in the last 3 years physically, mentally, emotionally. My peers look up to me to be a leader and I try my best to lead by example.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I continue to work hard in the weight room. I quit drinking pop 2 years ago and mainly drink water now. I try to eat healthy, make sure I'm stretching, and being the best athlete I know how to be.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been a member of Key Club for 3 years, volunteered/assisted with youth baseball and football camps, been a student ambassador for Pre-Teen Institute, and served as a Historian for Skills USA. The community is who offers the biggest support base besides our families. Without them, we wouldn't have any success. It's nice to be able to give back.
