Life is about balance, passion and being the best that one can be. Sport forms a major part of all this. It is my opinion that sport is as important as academics in building the leaders of tomorrow. You fail as a team you win as a team you work together as a team. This is what sport teaches you and this is what life is about. So while you are obtaining and education you have to have the balance and passion which is provided through sport. This is the reason for wanting to play college sport. Ps I also love it!
I demonstrate leadership on the field: Being part of a sports team is not acting as the leader but performing, in such a manner which others respect and which provides an ethos of working together to a common goa,l which is led by the example of ones own commitment.
Leadership off the field: Being is a position of having to instil discipline can be challenging however I believe in communication and providing the correct message as to why we do things which allows for sufficient reasoning by others. This ultimately leads to everyone pulling together in one direction.
Complete dedication and passion to what you do on and off the field.
Because I life in a coastal town and have a passion for the water my community service was to ensure water safety to all pool and beach users. I dedicate a minimum of 30 hours per season to this. Rather than having to save a life I want to prevent the situation from happening through consistent awareness and training of the general public.
