Personal
I have a passion and feel driven by the sport. I enjoy every moment on and off the field. I've made some lifelong friendships in football and look forward to building more along the way. I also love wrestling and the one on one competition that drives you to work harder and be better.
I have developed a nickname over time pertaining to my leadership abilities. They call me the "Silent Leader." I'm very focused when preparing for game time, but my teammates and coaches joke that the team will follow me with just a nod of my head, yet without saying a word. I never noticed until they mentioned it to me. I work hard to be a good leader and mentor especially when I see younger children watching my every move. I can tell they look up to me, so I try to stop by their practices to give them some encouragement or show them a new play. The majority of the time, they want to try their hardest to tackle me which is funny. I'm also very schedule/task driven which helps me to push others to stay in the weight room in the off-season and helping them better themselves beside me. My parents taught me to always lead by example, and I do my best to follow that path.
I always enjoy helping others within our community and contribute as much time as possible in doing so. I have spent time planting and landscaping yards for individuals with handicaps that prevent them from doing it themselves. I have served in soup kitchens, collected and donated canned goods for various causes and natural disasters. I have donated my time to bale hay for local farmers and spread mulch within the community during the spring. These efforts are vital to me because giving back makes me happy, as well as feel good about myself. It also provides me with a sense of belonging and achievement.
