Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I fell in love with the sport of volleyball, and I really want to continue playing in college, hopefully on scholarship. That being said, if I can get a scholarship for my academics, then I would be happy to play as a walk on. I want to further my volleyball experience by trying beach also, so I think that could also be beneficial to my performance on the court.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

When I am on the court, I try to encourage everyone and make sure my teammates know I have their back and will do the best of my ability. Off the court, I help people and animals, and try to lead by example in whatever I do. I am involved in two leadership clubs and both have to do with my school.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I try and keep my mental health strong, as well as my physical, but I put emphasis on mental health. I know that if I am exhausted, then I will not perform o the best of my abilities, so I try to listen to my body and know what it needs, and when it needs small breaks.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer at Mckamey Animal Shelter and the Tennessee Aquarium, and I hope to soon volunteer at my local Veterinarian's office, probably during junior year. These are helping to prepare me for what I hope to do when I graduate, which is having a lot of knowledge about the subjects and how to care for specific species.
