Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love rowing. I am still learning, and I can't wait to use my physical ability and grow with a team while I improve.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a two year officer in DECA and have qualified for State finals two years. I am a vice President and handle communications and marketing for our chapter, which is one of the larger in Illinois. I am on my class council and am active in spirit events and leadership events in my school. I also help recruit middle schoolers to attend our application only Academy within our school.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I have always been in multiple sports before finding my love, rowing, on March 4, 2018. I make sure to balance academics, athletics, then school life and activities, in that order. I grew up doing this, having parents who were Div1 athletes, so I have learned to manage my time well.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a freshman leader and help the incoming freshman acclimate to high school by mentoring them. I teach learn to row for my crew every day in the summer. It helps me to work on my skills, since I am a newer rower.
