Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Being involved in athletics has always been a part of my life. I would like to carry my passion for sports into my collegiate career as an athlete. Being part of a team is greatly rewarding, and having the opportunity to play for a college team would help balance the academics and athletics in my life.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Being the junior captain of two sports, softball and swimming, and the senior captain of the field hockey team, it is important to set and example of physical performance and sportsmanship on the field. Off the field I am the vice president of my class, which requires leadership in civics, team building, and fundraising. Being a leader in these two aspects requires me to make healthy choices both on and off the field.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Playing three sports, it is important to stay in good physical condition. I go to the gym seven days a week for strength training and cardio conditioning. On top of this, I maintain a healthy diet that supports my athletic performance.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer with our community food pantry, which provides groceries and meals for those in need. Secondly, I work with youth sports, both softball and field hockey, to run clinics and help younger athletes improve. Lastly, I am a member of the Interact Club, which is a branch of the Rotary Club. We work to hold events that raise money that is given back to support the local community.
