Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I fell in love with this sport my freshman year of high school , I had no idea what lacrosse was until I entered high school . This sport taught me many things on and off the field either It being something motivational or a life lesson this sport always taught me not to give up. I also feel due to my position as a defender I blossomed to be the person I am today . This sport has taught me to build friendships , have communication, being able to have techniques and work under pressure , and give my 110% even when I feel tired or even close to giving up. This sport has always made me feel stress free and I feel that if I get recruited for college I will apply all of these valuable things I learned from my coach's which has taught me to give it my all and the rest will fall into place.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have demonstrated leadership on the field by motivating my teamates to perform their best at all times. For example, I guide my teamates by telling them to communicate with one another during practices and games. Off the field, I organize and host team bonding activities.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

To me nutrition is the most important factor to keep me at a high performance as an athlete. For example , I make sure I drink tons of water to keep me hydrated all the time . As well, I eat healthy and prepare for a game so I can give my 110%. In addition, I keep myself physically active by going to cheerleading practices .

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Currently I am doing a community service project abroad for Silver Knight called Bibliotecas en Aldeas (Libraries in Villages).Ever since I was a little girl I’ve visited Honduras in many occasions and I have seen the needs for kids to have books to feed their imagination. These rural areas are so impoverished that they lacked the most basic things such as food and shelter . Im doing fundraisers in order to get the necessary materials like books and book shelves to bring to about 4 elementary schools in rural areas in Honduras. This is important for me because I know the kid’s education will benefit the world’s future. I really enjoy helping and giving to those in need .
