Personal Highlights

Thank you for looking at my profile!

I began golfing as a Freshman and my lowest score was an 87 during that year. As a sophomore, on April 24th, 2018 at Regionals, I scored an 86 placing me 10th of 81 overall. With this performance, I qualified for state where I finished 18th. This Junior year, I am setting my goals on a great finish at state, perfecting my game, and narrowing my college search.

High School:
Best 9 hole performance was on 03/01/19. Shot Even Par 35.
Best 18 hole performance was on 03/01/19. Score 76. (3 Birdies, 12 Pars, 31 putts, only missed 3 fairways)

Tournament Play:
I participated in South Central in 2017 and was ranked as high as 3rd for a period of time in the 14-15 year old division. South Central (2018), I finished tied for 12th in the 16-18 division. I have resumed tournament play with school and league activity. Schedules for OJGA will be provided soon. I probably wont play South Central because college coaches want to see the longer tees. I enjoy training and go to the golf course no less than 3 times a week during the winter.

I am a member of the National Honor Society, student council, class officer, and have a great GPA. I believe that any teacher or coach at my school would give you the highest praise for my character and kindness towards others. Thank you for taking a moment to introduce myself and I look forward to opportunities to compete at the next level.

It does not come easy for me to write about myself. Jesus is first in my life, and I prefer humility over boasting.
Humbly, Rylei.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My parents say golf is a vehicle to achieve my goals for life. I agree with that plus I can have fun playing a game I enjoy!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Faculty at my school nominated me to attend special leadership classes. This honor is only given once per semester to a single student.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I have been taught my body is a temple. Because of my faith in Jesus and he resides in me, I protect and keep it healthy.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I believe my heart for service is in bringing joy to those around me. At a recent mission trip to San Antonio I had a great time sharing the joy of Jesus to those in a facility for mentally disabled.
