Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My freshman year, I left gymnastics and tried out for Track. I had never run before! I made the varsity team my freshman year, and have made consistent progress, participating in two seasons of track each year. I am serious and focused on improving and striving for PR's. I would love to be on a college team and receive more professional coaching so that I can continue in this sport I love.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a mentor to incoming students to the high school that will be utilizing our learning resource center. I provide support to them and reassurance about the program and challenges they will face with whatever learning issues they have.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I practice, practice, practice! I also work out, lift weights and eat very healthy. I attended cross country camp just for the conditioning aspect to help me in sprinting. I follow my coach's workouts and always try my best.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been involved with Habitat for Humanity for three years, actively going on weekend house renovations. My school is very much into service learning, so I have also participated in many charity drives and fundraisers.
