I love the game , I want to continue tuning my skills behind the plate or on a football field and as an athlete. Setting an example for the classes behind me ,to follow dreams and set goals ,while following through is important and very acheivable if you work hard and set your own path . I'm not afraid of hard work or challenges and playing college baseball will be hard work and new challenges I want to accomplish while growing as a person on and off the field.
As an athlete being a leader on and off the field is alot about how you handle yourself in situations, I believe. On the field I try and pick my team up and focused on the task at hand , and to do that I have to do it myself. Before I step on the field I set an example of an athlete by being respectful to everyone I come in contact with . I maintaine good grades, I take time to help any younger athletes I notice may need someone , even if it's only for a few minutes here and there on or off the filed. I set the bar high for myself so other people have a bar to reach for themselves.
I give my time any opportunity I have. This year I helped set up games and gave out backpacks with school supplies at a Back to School Bash. Ive done this every year since I was in 2nd grade and this year is no different , I plan to choose an angel off the Angel Tree and help make a kids Holidays A little brighter. I give back because I have always been told there is no hand out only a hand up and you never know, you could need a hand one day so be the helping hand when you are able .
