Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I've been involved in sports since I was 2. From dance, to basketball, soccer and track, I enjoy being competitive and continue to enhance my physical and mental performance no matter what event or sport I'm training for. I enjoy the team sport, individual sport and the building of team bonding that comes along with the sport. I've played sports all through school and balanced out both for many years. I can't think of doing anything different.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I attend all practices, be on time, help coaches with equipment when needed, listen to instructions and take constructive criticism to help improve performance. Mentally and physically prepare for either a meet or game by getting proper rest and eating nutritious items to physically prepare me. Put all effort into each training to enhance speed, conditioning and overall performance.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer as a youth guide each summer for a week assisting with activities, games and learning at my churches vacation bible camp. I attended as a young child and I wanted to give back "pay it forward" and provide the same teaching and learning I received when I once attended. It's a great week long experience for the kids and I really enjoy helping them build great memories. I also have volunteered preparing food for serving meals for the homeless, which I will continue doing this several times a year.
