Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have been an athlete since I can remember, and have always playing some kind of sport. Growing up a Navy brat, I am 16 and living in my 9th house. Moving can be a very stressful and difficult thing to go through growing up, but sports have been something I could consistently count on and something that helped me make my closest friends everywhere I lived. In college, I want to have the same sense of sisterhood and trust among a team that I have developed everywhere I've lived (nationally and internationally) and the healthy outlet that sports have always provided me for stress and frustration.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

As a full IB student, for my CAS project I researched female athletics and made a 20 minute presentation that I presented to nearby middle school health classes about the benefits of female athletics and staying active in high school. I'm also a Connect Mentor to freshman at my high school, because as a military child I moved constantly and transferred to my high school for IB, so I know how intimidating a new school can be. I am also a mentor to students applying to the Virginia Junior Academy of Sciences, because I was accepted freshman and sophomore year and love to help people with the same interest in science that I have. Lastly, I volunteer with friends at the local food assistance center.
